The British Snoring Association describe snoring
as being a result of sound vibrations of the soft palate and other tissues in the mouth, nose and throat region; turbulences inside the airway caused by a blockage or restriction in the nasal, mouth or throat. The blockage leads to the turbulent breathing which causes the vibrating tissue; as you are asleep your muscles cannot control the vibrations you end up snoring like a hog.
